Welcome Cat Lover!Welcome to the Adopt-A-Cat web site! Are you interested in adopting a cat, but you don't know where to go, what kind of cat you're want, and what to do once you get your new furry little friend home? Are you unsure of the costs and time commitment? Here's some advice from a first-time cat parent to another soon-to-be cat parent. Other ways to help!
Too busy, or you're not entirely sure you're ready to be a full-time cat parent just yet? Try volunteering! Most organizations such as the Humane Society of King County and the Seattle Animal Shelter are always looking for more volunteers to help with shelter, adoption, and fostering services. Fostering a pet is a great way to meet a new furry friend on a "trial" basis before committing to the long-term. Local organizations are also looking for donations as well. Old pillows, blankets, and towels are among commonly thrown out household goods that make for great supplies in a pet care environment! Some of the information in this web site applies only to the Greater Seattle area - however, there is a lot of great information for all future cat parents, regardless of where you are. |
