Babes 4 A Cure

Babes 4 A Cure is a group that began when a group of friends decided they wanted to make a difference. We all have been running Race For A Cure in Washington, D.C for a few years now and decided to form a group for the race and came up with the name Babes 4 A Cure. After the first year of fundraising just for the race, we all decided we wanted to do more. We wanted to do events through out the year and raise as much money as we could for the next race. We are in our third year now and have raised almost $10,000. Our list of participants has grown from 13 to almost 70 now. This site is to help raise awareness for a serious cause, not to mention help people in the Washington D.C area who want to get involved find an outlet to do so. "Early detection is key," she said. "And if I hadn't found my lump early, I don't know what would have been. I am still here and I want to encourage women to do that on a regular basis."
