Attached is my first attempt to draw using the pen tool in Illustrator. I used a golden delicious apple as a reference and outlined the basic shape. Then I chose the color for the stroke and changed it to a heavier line. Thanks to Chapter 2, I knew how to modify the points on my apple using the convert anchor and direct selection tools. This is how I repaired some irregular shape issues that were afflicting my apple. Just for fun, I wanted to play with the filters a little, so I applied an outer glow and scribble. In the end, I think my apple may resemble a quick sketch using colored pencil.
