Requirements for Hands on Portfolio Design Delivered Via the Web
(ZIP DOCS ARE REQUIRED TO BE POSTED ALONG WITH YOUR WEB LINK - you are NOT required to use the Assignment Drop Box NOR Doc Sharing unless the files are huge files.

Week 1

SET UP WEBSITE
Diploma 2-3 pieces
Associates & BA
4 pieces

 

Assignment 1 - Introduction
Assignment 2 - Setting up your website & Posting your first pieces

Summary requirement for Digital Portolio

  • Begin selecting & organizing your pieces
  • Set up web site where you will be posting your weekly updates of your portfolio content
  • Select & post first few pieces for your initial portfolio presentation as a web page. You can create a link from your index page to the assignment for the week.

Week 2
Diploma
Add another 2-3 pieces
Associates & BA
Add another 3-5 pieces

 

Assignment 1: Discussion Questions (About Portfolio Preparation)
Assignment 2: Portfolio Project—ADD more Portfolio Pieces
Assignment 3: Create & Add Résumé (PRINT AND HTML/FLASH-BASED), Cover Letter and Business Card

Summary requirement

  • Update portfolio based on critiques & add additional pieces
  • Begin designing Resume, Cover Letter & Business card
  • Post them as links from your index page

Week 3
(Focus on home page design - index.html)

Assignment 1:Discussion Questions (Research topic on portfolio design - your choice)
Assignment 2: Portfolio Project - Interactive Piece and Critique
Designing your home page with all all the working links

Summary requirement

  • Update portfolio design based on critiques
  • Focus on index.html (your home page design) with links to ALL your portfolio pieces
Week 4
